Ways to take a shorter shower:
I will admit, I’m a water hog. I have never been very water conscious until this Water Resources class I’m taking.. but why would I be? I live in TVA territory. The Tennessee Valley Authority has insured that there is an abundance of water here. I have never experienced drought or water shortage.
Now that I’m aware it is an issue, I started looking for ways to lower my water...

8 Surprising Ways to Re-Use Kitchen Sponges →
This is a list of ways to re-use kitchen sponges after they’re past their prime.
I’m not so sure about all of these uses, particularly the ones about watering plants. The used sponges I’ve seen still have soap permanently absorbed, and often they are smelly from mildew.

This documentary is about natural gas and hydrofracking. He receives a contract in the mail to sell his property for ten thousand dollars per acre to the gas companies.. but he goes...

Former McDonald's Execs Open Healthy Fast Food... →
Has anyone seen one of these Lyfe restaurants? It looks like a great idea, but I wonder if it is too good to be true.
This is definitely something worth exploring!
After a closer look, I’ve found the website for these restaurants: http://www.lyfekitchen.com/
They have a menu on the website, and many of the choices are vegan, vegetarian, and/or gluten free. They have listed prices, sodium...

myloverarlo:
According to EPA statistics, food packaging comprises more than 30% of US household waste. In an attempt to address this, Harvard scientist David Edwards Edwards has developed WikiCells, a soft edible membrane that would replace plastic food packaging. Via Grist.org:
“The notion [of Wikicells] is that you are englobing liquid, foam, or something else in a soft membrane held...
